How much does the 2024 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,427 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, comfort, and flexibility. Its long-wheelbase design adds more than a foot between the front and rear axles, which translates into extra room for third-row passengers and a larger cargo area. It also benefits from the independent rear suspension introduced in this generation, a change that improved ride and handling while helping create a more comfortable third row and additional cargo capacity.

For buyers who need a large SUV that can carry people and gear without feeling as old-fashioned as earlier versions, that combination is a major part of its appeal. The model’s strengths are clear: plenty of cargo space, a spacious third row, and multiple powertrains. 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2024 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, comfort, and flexibility. Its long-wheelbase design adds more than a foot between the front and rear axles, which translates into extra room for third-row passengers and a larger cargo area. It also benefits from the independent rear suspension introduced in this generation, a change that improved ride and handling while helping create a more comfortable third row and additional cargo capacity.

For buyers who need a large SUV that can carry people and gear without feeling as old-fashioned as earlier versions, that combination is a major part of its appeal. Its strengths are clear: plenty of cargo space, a spacious third row, and multiple powertrains. For long-term ownership, you should still plan for the usual wear-and-tear risks that come with a large used SUV, especially if the vehicle has seen heavy family, towing, or commuting use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, brakes, tires, and interior condition, since those areas can reveal how hard a large SUV has been used. It also makes sense to focus on cargo-area wear and third-row condition, because those are the places where family and utility use show up fastest.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,427 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,732, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $62,737 sits slightly below last year's $72,783.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and lightly worn, you’ll be in a stronger position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.80% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better choice if you want the updated styling, upgraded infotainment, and the strong mix of space and flexibility that define this model year. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 gives you a compelling balance of inventory, condition, and softened pricing.
