How much does the 2024 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 3.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,704 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2024 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a compact SUV that emphasizes comfort, a roomy cabin, and a strong safety feature set, and it offers space for four adults, or five at a pinch. If you want a small SUV with broad standard driver-assistance coverage and everyday usability, this model year fits that use case well. The market also shows 38.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Terrain’s appeal comes from its comfort-focused setup, standard safety and driver-assistance technology, and practical everyday capability. It also includes Teen Driver technology, which can be useful if multiple drivers will share the vehicle. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its strengths are more about comfort and safety than maximum space or performance, so you should make sure the vehicle’s condition matches your needs before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then confirm that the vehicle’s condition matches the listing description. A careful inspection should focus on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and any issues that could affect comfort or safety features. Because this model year is valued for its well-equipped cabin and driver-assistance content, make sure those systems work properly during your test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Terrain?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,704 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,225, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $24,176 sits slightly below last year's $25,090.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, which matters when you eventually go to sell. If the market continues to favor shoppers, resale values may stay under pressure in the near term, but a well-kept example should still hold appeal because it offers comfort, safety content, and broad everyday usefulness. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 Terrain is the better choice if you want a comfortable, safety-focused compact SUV and you can live with its modest cargo space. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the cleaner pick when you want a strong mix of satisfaction, inventory depth, and softer pricing.
