Is the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD a good car?

Generally — 4.2/5 from owners, with an expert rating of 8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its capability, impressive features, and professional-grade feel, and they also value the truck’s overall utility. The main trade-offs are its fuel thirst and the near-twin Chevrolet Silverado HD being cheaper. In practical terms, this makes the Sierra 2500HD especially appealing if you want a heavy-duty truck that feels upscale and is built for serious towing rather than light-duty errands. The expert drive data also emphasizes refinement in the powertrain and a transmission that stays composed without hunting for gears.
