Used 2024 GMC Canyon for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2024 GMC Canyon cost?

Prices have softened 8.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,786 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Canyon a good car?

With a 3/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating, the 2024 GMC Canyon looks strongest if you want a midsize pickup that feels more upscale and more capability-focused than many rivals. The Canyon is described as taller and wider than most trucks in its class, and it is positioned to go farther and work harder than the rest.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Its trade-offs are clear: the truck is pricey, the back seat is cramped, and the bed is shorter than competitors’. Even so, the Canyon’s strong standard-equipment list and premium-feeling cabin make it appealing if you want a compact footprint without giving up a rugged personality.

With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Canyon reliable?

The 2024 GMC Canyon is built around a serious capability-first formula, and its standard turbocharged four-cylinder is described as having more than enough power for towing, hauling, and off-road driving. The truck’s road manners are also praised, with the transmission, brakes, and suspension tuning helping it feel composed on pavement.

Its powertrain is described as robust, and the truck’s off-road hardware is substantial on higher trims. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps soften early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a truck with this much capability can be expensive to keep if it has been worked hard or modified.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 GMC Canyon?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a truck that may have seen towing or off-road use. Pay close attention to cabin wear, suspension condition, and any signs that the truck has been modified or used hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Elevation comes closest to a work-truck setup, while AT4, Denali, and AT4X move toward off-road capability or luxury. The base trim still includes dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, an 11-inch digital gauge cluster, and an 11.3-inch touchscreen.
• Powertrain: Every trim gets the most powerful version of the turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder, with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The truck is described as strong enough for towing, hauling, and off-road driving.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, and a rear-seat reminder system. Rear park assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and blind-zone steering assist require an extra package on lower trims.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Denali and AT4X also benefit from a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The best you can expect is 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined in a rear-wheel-drive Elevation. The AT4X AEV tester was rated at 16 mpg across the board.

Which 2024 GMC Canyon trim should I buy?

The 2024 GMC Canyon is offered in 4 trim levels: Elevation, AT4, Denali, and AT4X.

Here's the short version:

• Elevation: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Canyon’s standard tech and upscale feel without jumping straight to the pricier off-road or luxury trims. It already includes a strong equipment list, but some safety features cost extra.
• AT4: This is the better choice if you want a more off-road-capable setup without going all the way to the top. It builds on the Canyon’s rugged character and suits buyers who want capability first.
• Denali: Choose this if you want the most luxury-oriented Canyon. It leans into the truck’s premium materials and upscale presentation.
• AT4X: This is the pick for maximum off-road hardware and the most serious capability. It’s the right trim if you want the Canyon’s most extreme setup and are willing to pay for it.

Higher trims can add impressive safety features, but some of them cost extra on lower trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Canyon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Inventory: There are 1,786 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,357, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Canyon's resale value?

The current average of $39,357 sits slightly below last year's $42,841.

That price movement suggests the Canyon has softened enough to create a better buying window now than it had a year ago. If you buy at today’s average or below, you may have less immediate depreciation pressure than someone who bought at last year’s higher level.

For a future seller, the key is condition and trim. A well-kept truck with desirable equipment should hold up better than one that shows heavy use, especially if it has been used for towing or off-road driving.
