Why it stands out
The 2024 Ford Bronco stands out by pairing an iconic nameplate with a retro-designed SUV body. It also brings a standard 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment system, which gives the cabin a more modern feel without losing the Bronco’s rugged character. Ford also added a more rugged front bumper on the Bronco Badlands, along with two new colors for the Bronco Raptor.
Beyond the updates, the 2024 Ford Bronco’s appeal comes from its mix of personality and practicality. It is described as fun to drive and comfortable, with plenty of cargo space. At the same time, buyers should note its poor fuel economy, the lack of a hybrid or plug-in hybrid option, and the need for a cloth seat option.

I really like all of the features - the large screen is great for navigation and the Alexa add on is nice.

Great car for outdoors. Ford could have provided little more storage space -- like above the glove box or behind seats. Noise level can also be further reduced, for it to be used as a commuter vehicle during week :) Overall, it is a very good alternative to Jeep providing superior offroad experience.

Bronco Wildtrak is amazing! I love the simplicity of the design, yet everything that you need is there. I bought one in the eruption green color and could not love it more.

How much does the 2024 Ford Bronco cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $45,465 |
| Year-Round Low | $45,484.58 |
| Year-Round High | $50,982.14 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $50,974 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −10.81% |
Prices have softened 10.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 5,073 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and equipment.
If you find a listing below $45,484.58, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2024 Ford Bronco a good car?
Yes — the 2024 Ford Bronco earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.
Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, modern features, and stylish interior design, and many also like the unique color choices. The main trade-offs are storage space that could be better and a cabin that can be noisy for daily commuting.
That lines up with the Bronco’s use case: you’re buying it for personality, trail ability, and everyday versatility, not for quiet, efficiency-first commuting. Even so, the market still shows 29.3% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.
Is the 2024 Ford Bronco reliable?
Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially because it’s seen as capable and modern while still delivering the rugged character buyers expect. The expert evaluation also describes the drivetrain as satisfying, with good acceleration, clean shifts, and easy 4-Hi and 4-Lo engagement.
Ford’s ownership pitch is practical too: the Bronco includes a standard 12-inch Sync 4 system and a broad set of trail-focused features, which helps it feel current and usable. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a specialized SUV with higher running costs and a reputation for being hard on fuel.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Ford Bronco?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Bronco has been used off-road or fitted with larger tires and suspension upgrades. Focus on signs of trail wear, interior wear from open-air use, and any issues tied to the infotainment or driver-assistance equipment.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Big Bend is the standard trim level, and the available Sasquatch Package adds a suspension lift, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, and other off-roading equipment that changes both appearance and capability.
- Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the optional turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 makes 330 hp and 415 lb-ft. A turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 is exclusive to the Raptor.
- Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 adds lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system are also available.
- Infotainment: A 12-inch Sync 4 touchscreen is standard, and it includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, FordPass Connect services, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, and a seven-speaker stereo system. Higher trims add connected navigation and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system with 10 speakers.
- Fuel efficiency: The EPA says a Big Bend Sasquatch with the base powertrain should return 18 mpg city, 17 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.
Which 2024 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?
The 2024 Ford Bronco is offered in 9 trim levels: Big Bend, Badlands, and Raptor.
Here's the short version:
- Big Bend: This is the standard trim level and the best starting point if you want the Bronco’s core personality without chasing expensive extras. It gives you the standard 12-inch Sync 4 system, the base turbocharged 2.3-liter engine, and the Bronco’s essential rugged character.
- Badlands: This is the better pick if you want a more trail-focused setup and are willing to pay for added capability and equipment. The content specifically notes a more rugged front bumper on the Badlands, making it the trim to watch if off-road hardware matters to you.
- Raptor: This is the top-end performance-oriented choice, with the exclusive turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 and the highest tow rating mentioned. It suits you if you want the most powerful and most extreme Bronco variant.
The safety package is strongest when you move beyond the most basic setup, since Ford Co-Pilot360 adds several useful driver-assistance features.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Ford Bronco?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused.
- Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 5,073 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.81% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 93.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $45,484.58, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Ford Bronco's resale value?
The current average of $45,465 sits slightly below last year's $50,974.
That price movement suggests the Bronco has cooled from a stronger prior-year market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, the current softness means your upside depends more on condition, trim, and equipment than on broad market momentum.
Because the Bronco still has strong enthusiast appeal, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than ordinary SUVs. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2024 Ford Bronco safe?
In crash tests, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety posts favorable ratings for the Bronco four-door, except for its headlight performance, which gets a Marginal score. Test results from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are incomplete, lacking side-impact scores; the Bronco four-door earns a four-star frontal-impact rating and a mediocre three-rating for rollover resistance.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Ford equips the Bronco Big Bend with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and a backup camera with guidance grid lines. The available Ford Co-Pilot360 package adds lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors.
That gives you a useful baseline of driver assistance, but you should note the headlight weakness and the incomplete NHTSA testing picture. If safety is a top priority, you’ll want to make sure the Bronco you’re considering has the added driver-assistance equipment you want.
Should I buy a 2024 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.81% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- Ford adds a standard 12-inch Sync 4 system and a more rugged Badlands front bumper.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $42,036, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $45,465 average.
- It offers broad versatility with two- or four-door body styles and nine distinct models.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $48,245, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,465 average.
- It emphasizes serious off-road capability while improving everyday comfort.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, updated tech, and strong owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for the newer model-year alternative, the 2025 is worth a look, but it asks more of your budget.
