Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearSan Bernardino, CA

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 15.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,889 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Traverse’s appeal is tied to its larger, bolder design, added space, and much larger infotainment touchscreen. It also brings more standard driver aids, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which makes it feel more up to date as a family hauler.

The main trade-offs are that its size is hard to ignore and the base LS trim is described as a little too basic. The range-topping RS trim is also pricey.

For shoppers who want a three-row SUV with a more modern cabin and stronger family-friendly tech, this model year fits that brief well. 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Traverse is presented as a more modern and better-equipped version of the model, with more standard driver aids and a cabin that feels more up to date. Its updated powertrain also brings more power and torque than before, which supports the sense that Chevrolet moved this generation forward in meaningful ways.

The performance notes point to acceleration and passing power that are more than acceptable for a vehicle this size, along with a ride that is described as exemplary. The stop-and-start system is also called seamless in operation.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is that a larger, more complex SUV can be more expensive to live with if prior maintenance or condition has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy family use, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific vehicle you’re looking at.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is described as a little too basic, while the RS is the pricey top-end choice. The Z71 is the all-new addition and is aimed at buyers who want moderate off-road capability, but it is not meant to be a mud-plugging machine.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous V6. All-wheel drive is optional on every trim, and the Z71 gets a more advanced dual-clutch AWD system.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, side-exit assist, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Google-based software. Super Cruise is also offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Official EPA estimates range from 18 mpg city, 26 highway, 21 combined for the Limited with FWD down to 17/25/20 for the Limited with AWD.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but the content makes clear it can feel a little too basic. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the richer equipment found higher up.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It’s expected to be the most popular model, and it adds the flexibility of a second-row bench or dual captain’s chairs, with the option to add Super Cruise and the Trailering Package.
• Z71: This is the trim for you if you want the most rugged character. It’s intended for moderate off-roading and adds a more advanced AWD setup, but it is not a hardcore off-road model.
• RS: This is the top-of-the-line choice and comes loaded with nearly every available feature, but it is also the priciest trim.

All models get a wide range of standard driver aids, so even the lower trims are well covered on safety tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,889 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,958, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $37,958 sits slightly below last year's $45,174.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit how much value you recover later if prices stay soft. For a future seller, the current trend means resale will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than broad market momentum.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, side-exit assist, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera.

A key caveat is that official crash-test results were not yet available, so you should lean more heavily on the standard driver-assistance equipment and any later test results when evaluating a used example.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a larger touchscreen and more standard driver aids.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $40,149, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,958 average.
• It drops the base LS trim and adds the upscale High Country.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter starting point because prices are softer and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer-year changes and a broader trim lineup, the 2025 is the better fit. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2024 offers the stronger balance of cost, equipment, and availability.
