How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

There are 9,766 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as the last year of the third-generation model, and it benefits from updates that made it more modern and easier to live with. You also get a roomy interior, more standard safety equipment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a practical compact-SUV layout that fits everyday use well. The tradeoff is that acceleration is not the strongest in the class and the cargo area trails some rivals. Good and great deals make up 37.3% of listings, so you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Equinox is described as a practical, easy-to-live-with compact SUV with added standard safety equipment and a familiar, user-friendly tech setup. Its smaller, lighter design and roomy cabin help it feel approachable for daily driving.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained well enough to preserve that everyday usability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Equinox?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still confirm the history report yourself, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-specific check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could affect daily usability. Pay close attention to the cabin, cargo area, and how the SUV drives, since this model’s appeal is tied to comfort and practicality.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,766 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,283, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $22,498 sits slightly below last year's $23,635.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale expectations should stay realistic if you plan to sell later. A model that is already trending lower can be easier to shop for now, yet future value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because the Equinox is positioned as a practical, easy-to-live-with SUV, clean examples should continue to attract steady interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,958, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $22,498 average.
• It adds extra power and better braking while staying practical and affordable.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $26,011, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $22,498 average.
• It brings a fresh redesign with new standard tech and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want the updated third-generation Equinox with strong owner satisfaction and a softer market price. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play. If you want the newest design and added standard features, the 2025 is the upgrade path to consider.
