Why it stands out
The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro stands out as the final year of the sixth-generation car, and that generation’s appeal came from being lighter, smaller, tauter, and more efficient than the previous versions. Chevrolet built it on a platform shared with the Cadillac ATS, and the car was praised for world-class power and driving dynamics. It also kept the Camaro formula intact with coupe and convertible body styles, rear-wheel drive, and a range of performance-oriented engines and transmissions.
For 2024, the Camaro lineup was already pared back, but it still offered a clear path to performance. The LT coupe started at $32,495 and the LT convertible at $38,495. The broader sixth-generation range included Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, later models added a built-in wi-fi hotspot, and the 2024 model year was part of the run that ended with Collector’s Editions. Buyers also benefited from the car’s above-average reliability rating from RepairPal, though the sixth-generation Camaro did have a known issue with trunk leaks that could lead to electrical problems.
As a used performance car, the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro is appealing because it combines modern engineering with the Camaro’s long-running muscle-car identity. Its strengths are strong performance, sharp dynamics, and a wide spread of capability across the lineup. Its drawbacks are more practical than dramatic: the interior was still cheaply outfitted, and poor outward visibility remained part of the package.

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $43,240 |
| Year-Round Low | $40,064 |
| Year-Round High | $45,242 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $44,030 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −1.79% |
Prices have softened 1.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 888 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro a good car?
Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro. The overview describes it as the final year of the sixth-generation car, with a lighter, smaller, tauter, and more efficient design than earlier versions, plus coupe and convertible body styles, rear-wheel drive, and a range of performance-oriented engines and transmissions. For you, that means this model year is aimed squarely at shoppers who want a focused performance car with modern engineering and the Camaro’s long-running muscle-car identity. The market also shows 31.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The overview also says the sixth-generation Camaro earned an above-average reliability rating from RepairPal, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership. At the same time, the known trunk-leak issue can create electrical problems, so used buyers should pay close attention to water intrusion and related repair history.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Camaro?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should start with a history report to confirm accident status and look for any signs of prior water damage or electrical repairs. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the trunk area, seals, and any evidence of leaks, since that issue can affect electrical systems. You should also evaluate interior condition closely, because the cabin was described as cheaply outfitted and wear can show up quickly in a performance car.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Camaro?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.
- Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 888 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.79% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 84.5% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $40,064, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro's resale value?
The current average of $43,240 sits slightly below last year's $44,030.
That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also mean future resale gains are limited unless you choose the right example. A well-kept Camaro with clean history and strong condition should hold appeal better than one with damage or deferred maintenance. Because this model year still has strong demand among performance-car shoppers, the best examples should remain easier to move later.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Camaro or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.79% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want the last year of the sixth-generation Camaro and value the combination of performance, dynamics, and modern engineering, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may give you a lower entry price, but you should still compare condition, history, and deal quality closely before deciding.
