That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If market pricing stays disciplined, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW iX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 43.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $47,075, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,466 average.
• It adds a more powerful M60 variant with sharper performance.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the more price-conscious alternative and may be worth a close look.
