Used 2024 BMW 7 Series for Sale nearMontrose, CO

How much does the 2024 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 18.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 599 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series a good car?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is a compelling but compromised flagship if you want luxury, performance, and efficiency in one large sedan. It earns a 3.7/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

BMW’s own summary points to a spacious, luxurious cabin and potent powertrain options, and the expert review backs that up with strong marks for performance and safety. The trade-offs are just as clear: the infotainment system is overly complex, and the plug-in hybrid version brings uneven driving behavior. That means you’re looking at a car that suits you best if you value advanced luxury and strong efficiency enough to accept some usability friction.

Good and great deals account for 38.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is presented as a robust, well-engineered flagship with smooth, reliable electronic systems. The expert review says BMW’s warning systems work unobtrusively and are good at detecting pedestrians and hazards, and it also notes that the systems operate smoothly and reliably.

The performance write-up adds that the car’s highway manners are effortless and that the standard air suspension helps it handle with composure despite its size. The plug-in hybrid’s power delivery is less polished around town, though, with inconsistent braking feel and a less coordinated throttle response.

BMW also includes a helpful voice assistant, but the broader interface remains frustratingly complex, which can affect day-to-day satisfaction more than mechanical dependability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about living with a complicated luxury system stack over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, infotainment behavior, and how the car drives at low speeds. Pay special attention to condition on any higher-spec interior materials and optional equipment, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on its luxury features.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin can be configured with a wide range of materials and features, from vegan fake leather to Merino leather and Cashmere wool blend, and the rear-seat theater screen is a standout luxury item. Base versions leave some desirable equipment as options, so you should compare feature content carefully before assuming a lower-priced car is fully equipped.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, and a plug-in hybrid setup that pairs the six-cylinder with an electric motor and battery pack. The plug-in hybrid is quick and efficient, but its around-town brake and throttle behavior can feel inconsistent.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. Surround view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automated parking assist, and partially automated driving features are bundled in paid packages.
• Infotainment: The curved display combines a 12.3-inch driver’s screen with a 14.9-inch infotainment display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. The system is heavily touchscreen-based, and the interface can be frustrating to navigate.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 65 MPGe electric and 25 mpg combined on gas, while the six-cylinder and V8 versions are rated at 28 mpg and 20 mpg combined, respectively.

Which 2024 BMW 7 Series trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is offered in 4 trim levels: 740i, 740i xDrive, 750e xDrive, 760i xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• 740i: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core 7 Series experience with the turbocharged inline-six, rear-wheel drive, and the same flagship cabin feel. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and are comfortable keeping the equipment list more focused.
• 740i xDrive: This is the best-value trim. It adds all-wheel drive and is called out as the lineup’s sweet spot because it balances price, traction, and everyday usability better than the pricier plug-in hybrid.
• 750e xDrive: This trim is for you if you want the plug-in hybrid’s extra power and electric driving capability. It is faster and more efficient than the base six-cylinder, but it also costs more and is fussier to drive in town.
• 760i xDrive: This is the choice if you want the most vigorous performance and the most exclusive luxury options. It brings the V8 and the strongest acceleration, but it also sits at the top of the price ladder.

BMW’s safety packages are optional, so you should confirm whether a used example has the driver-assistance equipment you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 599 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $65,914, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $65,914 sits slightly below last year's $80,630.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend may limit upside unless demand strengthens or your car is especially well equipped and well kept. For a future seller, the safest path is to buy at a strong discount now and preserve condition carefully.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series safe?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series has not yet been crash-tested by either IIHS or NHTSA, but BMW says its crash structures are robust.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. BMW also offers a Premium package with surround view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and automated parking assist, plus a Driving Assistance Professional Package with partially automated active driving assistant and highway assistant with limited hands-free capability.

The main caveat is that some of the most advanced driver-assistance features cost extra, so you should verify package content on any used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.25% compared with last year.
• BMW’s 2024 update adds the 750e plug-in hybrid and a lightly updated infotainment system.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $60,130, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $65,914 average.
• It blends comfort, luxury, and performance in a composed, engaging package.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the updated lineup and are willing to pay a bit more for the latest powertrain mix. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play because it delivers the core 7 Series strengths for less.
