Used 2024 BMW 7 Series for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2024 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 17.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 616 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series a good car?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is a mixed but compelling flagship sedan, especially if you want luxury, performance, and efficiency in one package. It earns a 3.7/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

The 7 Series stands out for its spacious, luxurious cabin and potent powertrain choices, and BMW also added the plug-in hybrid 750e for 2024. That said, the car’s digital controls remain frustratingly complicated, and the styling is polarizing enough that it won’t suit every luxury buyer.

The 750e adds more power and efficiency than the low-end 740i, but it also costs more and has a disjointed driving personality. For shoppers who value a high-end sedan with standout features like a rear-seat theatre and cashmere upholstery, the appeal is clear.

Good and great deals percentage: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is built on a platform architecture that BMW says has robust crash structures, and its standard active safety systems work smoothly and reliably. BMW’s warning systems are described as unobtrusive and effective at detecting pedestrians and hazards.

The standard safety suite includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. BMW also offers a Premium package with surround-view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and automated parking assist, plus a Driving Assistance Professional Package with partially automated active driving assistant and highway assistant.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s complexity can make repairs and feature-related issues more expensive to live with over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with advanced electronics and available driver-assistance packages. Focus on whether the features you want are actually installed, since some of the most desirable systems are optional. It also makes sense to check that the cabin tech, rear-seat equipment, and powertrain behavior all feel consistent in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin can be configured with more than 15 colors and patterns, and the lineup includes upscale touches such as a rear-seat theater screen, panoramic sunroof with patterned ambient lighting, and available Cashmere wool blend upholstery. The base setup is still richly appointed, but some of the most distinctive luxury features are reserved for higher trims and options.
• Powertrain: The 740i uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six with 375 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while the 760i uses a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 536 hp and 553 lb-ft. The 750e plug-in hybrid combines the 3.0-liter twin-turbo six with an electric motor and a 14.4-kWh battery pack for 483 hp and 516 lb-ft, plus 65 MPGe electric and 25 mpg gas combined.
• Safety package: BMW’s standard suite includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. Surround-view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automated parking assist, and the partially automated highway assistant are bundled into optional packages.
• Infotainment: The curved display combines a 12.3-inch driver’s screen with a 14.9-inch infotainment display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but the system is heavily touchscreen-driven and can require a lot of menu diving.
• Fuel efficiency: The 750e is rated at 65 MPGe electric and 25 mpg combined on gas, while the 740i is rated at 28 mpg combined, or 27 mpg with AWD. The 760i is rated at 20 mpg combined.

Which 2024 BMW 7 Series trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is offered in 4 trim levels: 740i, 740i xDrive, 750e xDrive, 760i xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• 740i: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core 7 Series experience with the turbocharged inline-six, rear-wheel drive, and the same spacious, luxurious cabin. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest starting point and are comfortable keeping the equipment list simpler.
• 740i xDrive: This is the best-value trim. It adds all-wheel drive and is called out as the lineup’s best value, while still avoiding the extra cost and driving quirks of the plug-in hybrid. If you want the smartest balance of price, traction, and everyday usability, this is the one to target.
• 750e xDrive: Choose this if you want the plug-in hybrid’s extra power and efficiency and you’re likely to plug it in regularly. It’s quick and impressively efficient, but it costs more and its brake and throttle behavior can feel less polished around town.
• 760i xDrive: This is the choice for maximum performance and the most vigorous driving experience. It also unlocks some luxury options you can’t get on the lower trims, but it’s the most expensive path by a wide margin.

BMW’s best driver-assistance systems still cost extra, so check whether the safety packages you want are included on the specific car you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively and still find meaningful value.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $66,439, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $66,439 sits slightly below last year's $80,344.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more car for the money today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means you should expect depreciation pressure to remain part of the ownership equation. For a future seller, the best protection is buying well now and choosing a trim with broad appeal.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series safe?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series has not yet been crash-tested by IIHS or NHTSA, but BMW says its crash structures are robust.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

BMW includes a strong standard safety suite with forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. If you want more advanced assistance, the Premium package adds surround-view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and automated parking assist, while the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds partially automated active driving assistant and highway assistant with limited hands-free capability.

The main caveat is that BMW charges extra for some systems that competitors may include more broadly, so you should verify the exact package content on any used example.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.31% compared with last year.
• BMW added the plug-in hybrid 750e and lightly updated the infotainment system for this year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $60,536, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $66,439 average.
• It blends comfort, luxury, and performance while delivering a great ride and strong handling.

The bottom line: Buy the 2024 if you want the updated lineup and are comfortable paying more for the latest mix of powertrain choice and tech. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you want the core 7 Series strengths without paying current-year pricing.
