Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 BMW 4 Series stands out for blending premium equipment, strong performance, and a distinctly styled body, and it gives you coupe, convertible, and Gran Coupe body styles so you can choose the version that best fits your priorities. It also comes well equipped from the start, which makes it appealing if you want a luxury coupe or convertible that feels polished and feature-rich without a long options list. With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series is described as sharing many mechanical and interior parts with the concurrent BMW 3 Series, which can be reassuring if you want a familiar BMW foundation. It also comes with a generous standard equipment list, including adaptive cruise control, satellite navigation, and a rear-view camera, which supports everyday usability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car’s premium features and performance hardware have been maintained properly over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully so you can confirm the car’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. Put inspection priority on the body, interior, and electronics, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on its premium equipment and presentation. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you’re considering a higher-spec version with more performance-oriented hardware.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers who are willing to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,100 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,145, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $42,145 sits slightly below last year's $44,959.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more efficiently now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if depreciation continues at a similar pace. For a future seller, the key advantage is that the model still has broad appeal thanks to its premium equipment and distinctive styling. Strong demand tends to hold up better when a car offers a desirable mix of features, performance, and body-style choice.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024’s combination of market softness and strong deal availability.
