Why it stands out
The 2024 Audi A6 stands out as a midsize luxury sedan that blends understated style with a strong technology focus. Audi’s A6 has long been described as a premium, yet conservative, car, and that restrained design helps it age well rather than look flashy or dated. It also has a reputation for serving as a test bed for new Audi technology, which is part of what has made the nameplate distinctive over time.
For this generation, the A6 brought a major step forward in equipment and refinement. It was longer and wider than the previous generation, gained about 250 pounds, and moved to a new aluminum and steel chassis related to the larger A8’s. It also came with standard quattro all-wheel drive across the lineup, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual screens, lots of connectivity, and semi-autonomous capability. Available features included adaptive cruise control, Audi’s virtual cockpit, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a sport suspension, rear side airbags, adaptive suspension damping, all-wheel steering, and a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
That said, the A6 is not without drawbacks. The source notes that it is unlikely to be a bargain, and it also points to disappointing fuel economy, a front-wheel-drive bias, conservative exterior styling, and a poorly executed infotainment system among its downsides. Even so, for buyers who want a used luxury sedan with a polished feel, standard all-wheel drive, and a long-standing reputation for understated sophistication, the 2024 Audi A6 remains appealing.

Is the 2024 Audi A6 a good car?
Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong shopper satisfaction. The 2024 Audi A6 is positioned as a refined midsize luxury sedan with a premium feel, useful tech, and comfort features, while its conservative design gives it a look that can age well. It is a good fit if you want understated luxury and are comfortable trading some flash for a more restrained, tech-focused experience. With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.
Is the 2024 Audi A6 reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2024 Audi A6 is described as a model that blends premium comfort with a conservative design that tends to age well, which supports confidence in how it may hold up as a used purchase. Its reputation for useful technology and a polished luxury feel also suggests it is built to satisfy buyers over time. For used shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car’s condition matches its premium positioning, especially if you plan to keep it for several years.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Audi A6?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s background matches the listing details. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing so you can check the condition of the technology, comfort features, and overall wear before you commit. Focus on how well the car has been maintained, since a premium sedan like this is best bought when its condition supports the upscale experience you expect.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Audi A6?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.
- Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 562 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.85% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 91.5% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $29,579, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Audi A6's resale value?
The current average of $29,616 sits slightly below last year's $36,049.
That price movement suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. The current range shows that values have already adjusted downward, so resale performance will likely depend on how well the car is maintained and how it compares with similar listings when you decide to sell. A clean, well-kept example should still attract interest from shoppers looking for a premium sedan with a strong value story.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Audi A6 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 17.85% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2024 Audi A6 makes the most sense if you want a refined, understated luxury sedan and you value current pricing that has moved lower than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a slightly older example gives you a lower entry point while still delivering the same core appeal.
