You should still review the history report carefully and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. • Inventory: There are 3,957 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. For a future seller, the softer current pricing may limit short-term upside, but it also means the Highlander is already trading in a range that reflects steady demand rather than speculative pricing. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should still have a solid path to retaining value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,217, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $35,119 average.
• It covers the basics well with family-focused versatility and standard safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced choice, the 2023 is the stronger pick thanks to its updated comfort, efficiency, and broad appeal. If your priority is saving money first, the 2022 is the smarter path because it delivers many of the same core strengths at a lower average price.
