Why it stands out
The 2023 Toyota 4Runner is celebrated for its robust design and impressive off-road capabilities. Despite being an older model that has remained largely unchanged for over a decade, the 4Runner still resonates with buyers seeking a traditional SUV experience. Its 4.0-liter V6 engine delivers sufficient power for most driving situations, complemented by a dependable 4WD system for off-road enthusiasts. This SUV offers a spacious interior and versatile cargo options, making it suitable for various lifestyles. Notable features include standard blind-spot monitoring and a unique 40th Anniversary Special Edition that adds distinct styling elements. However, some drawbacks, like poor fuel economy and safety ratings, remind potential buyers of its aging design. Nevertheless, its reputation for durability and reliability draws many who value these traits in a vehicle.
