How much does the 2023 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 8.90% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,732 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Tesla Model Y earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, technology, and comfort, and many also like the fast acceleration, easy charging, and spacious interior. That fits well if you want a compact luxury crossover with SUV practicality, a roomy cargo area, and a tech-heavy cabin. With 27.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise for easy charging and strong day-to-day usability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the vehicle’s condition and history match the asking price, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks overall condition and signs of prior damage or poor repair work. It also makes sense to pay close attention to range-related concerns and whether the vehicle’s features and equipment are working as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

This is still a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,732 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 8.90% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 78.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,510, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $34,016 sits slightly above last year's $31,238.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can help support resale value if you buy carefully. Strong demand also tends to favor well-kept examples, especially when inventory is still active and shoppers are comparing multiple listings. If you own one in good condition, the pricing trend gives you a reasonable foundation for future trade-in or private-sale value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 8.90% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current-market availability, and a well-established used-price profile. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, especially if you find a cleaner example or a lower asking price that better fits your budget.
