How much does the 2023 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 5.15% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,771 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Tesla Model Y earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the fast acceleration, easy charging, and spacious interior, and the model’s use-case fit is especially strong if you want a compact luxury crossover with SUV practicality, generous cargo room, and a distinctly Tesla cabin. The market also shows 23.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights dependable day-to-day strengths such as easy charging, strong performance, and a comfortable ownership experience. It also points to the kind of long-term confidence that comes from a vehicle people continue to enjoy after living with it.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been cared for well and that any prior issues have been addressed before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a history report and confirm the car’s condition matches the listing, especially if you’re comparing multiple examples. A careful inspection should focus on overall wear, signs of prior damage, and whether the vehicle’s features and operation line up with what the seller claims. Because this model leans heavily on technology and touchscreen-based controls, it’s smart to make sure everything works as expected during your test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,771 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.15% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 82.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,541, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $33,080 sits slightly above last year's $31,460.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A higher current average price can support stronger resale expectations, especially when demand remains steady and shoppers continue to value the Model Y’s mix of range, space, and performance. The fact that pricing has moved up year over year also suggests that well-kept examples should remain attractive to future buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.15% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 Model Y makes the most sense if you want the stronger current-market mix of owner satisfaction, inventory depth, and proven demand. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby older year may be the better path, but the 2023 is the cleaner choice when you want a well-liked version with broad shopper appeal.
