How much does the 2024 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 6.17% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,109 listings available, which suggests you still have meaningful inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Tesla Model Y earns a 4.33/5 user rating, which points to strong shopper approval. The overview shows why: you get a practical electric crossover with strong range, generous standard equipment, and a roomy cargo area, plus a rear hatch and front trunk that make it especially useful for everyday hauling. It also stands out if you want an EV that can cover real distance without giving up versatility, though the firm ride and touchscreen-heavy controls are part of the tradeoff. 21.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around practicality, strong range, and useful standard equipment, which are all traits that can support confidence in daily use. You should still expect the usual used-EV ownership considerations, especially around battery health, charging behavior, and how the car has been maintained over time. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about traditional mechanical wear and more about making sure the vehicle’s condition and usage history match the asking price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for any prior damage, repairs, or signs of inconsistent panel fit and finish. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake condition, and whether the cabin electronics and touchscreen functions work as expected. Because this is an EV, it also makes sense to pay attention to charging performance and how the vehicle has been used day to day.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Tesla Model Y?

This is still a seller’s market, so you should shop selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 21.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,109 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.17% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 82.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,285, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $36,656 sits slightly above last year's $34,526.

That price movement suggests the market has remained supportive of this model year, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A stronger current average can help preserve your exit position, especially if you buy near the lower end of the range. For a future seller, the key is to keep the vehicle in clean condition and avoid overpaying up front, since both factors affect how much value you can recover later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 21.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.17% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right pick if you want the Model Y’s practical EV packaging, strong range, and broad standard equipment without waiting for a newer redesign. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2024 still looks like the better choice when you want a balance of usability, demand, and market support.
