How much does the 2023 Tesla Model Y cost?

Prices are up 7.53% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,630 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Model Y options to compare.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. The owner summary highlights fast acceleration, easy charging, and a spacious interior, all of which line up well with the Model Y’s compact luxury crossover role. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want SUV practicality, generous cargo room, and a distinctly Tesla driving experience. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on easy charging and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. That said, some owners mention range accuracy concerns, so you should pay attention to how the car has been used and whether its real-world behavior matches your needs. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure the vehicle’s condition and usage history are consistent with the way you plan to drive it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm accident status and spot any red flags before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging behavior, and overall condition, since those are the areas that matter most in a used EV. It also makes sense to focus on how the touchscreen-based controls, ride quality, and interior wear line up with the seller’s description and the car’s mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,630 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.53% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 81.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,516, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $33,588 sits slightly above last year's $31,237.

That upward move suggests the Model Y has held buyer interest well, which can help support resale value if you decide to sell later. Because prices are already near the top of the year-round range, a well-kept example may still command strong attention from shoppers. Your best resale outcome will likely come from a car with clean history, strong condition, and documentation that supports its value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.53% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 Model Y is the right pick if you want a well-liked used EV with strong owner satisfaction, solid inventory, and a broad mix of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2023 remains the better all-around choice when you want a balance of demand, usability, and market depth.
