CarGurus Analysis: 2023 RAM 2500
overall
Summary
With 5,610 currently listed for sale and an average price of $47,724, 34.4% of 2023 RAM 2500 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2023 RAM 2500 4.2 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.5 / 10.
85.5% of 2023 RAM 2500 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2023 RAM 2500 stands out as a heavy-duty pickup that blends serious off-road intent with the comfort and space buyers expect from a large truck. The test-drive notes describe the Ram Power Wagon as a purpose-built off-road tool, and the new 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel is presented as the answer for buyers who want that kind of capability without giving up the broader appeal of a 2500-series truck. It is also described as spacious and comfortable, which helps separate it from the more extreme, less livable heavy-duty off-road setups.
Its strengths are clear: impressive off-road capability and a powerful turbodiesel engine option. At the same time, the truck is not without compromises. The column shifter feels flimsy, entry and exit are difficult, and the turbodiesel option is expensive. The ownership summary reinforces the idea that the 2023 RAM 2500 appeals to buyers who value power, comfort, towing utility, and available technology and luxury touches, while also hinting that reliability concerns, especially around the transmission, may be worth considering.

Features are great. Good value for the price I paid. I think the necessary performance upgrades required to make it reliable are excessively overpriced but as a stock vehicle it was priced right.
