Used 2023 RAM 1500 for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2023 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 4.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 15,166 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy range of trucks to compare.

Is the 2023 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.7/5, and the expert rating is 7.2/10. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise the upscale interior, comfortable ride, solid performance, stylish design, and good fuel economy for its size. That lines up with the truck’s more polished, carlike feel and its appeal to buyers who want comfort and refinement along with pickup utility.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and the competition offers more technology. In practical terms, this is a strong fit if you value a premium-feeling full-size truck more than the latest gadgetry.

The market still shows solid interest, with 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the truck’s comfortable ride and solid performance over time.

The expert review reinforces that sense of durability by describing the powertrain as strong and the truck as well suited to long-term use. It also notes a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty for the gas engine, which adds some reassurance for used buyers.

For a used truck, the main long-term risk is less about core reliability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and equipped the way you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 RAM 1500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a full inspection. Pay close attention to the cabin, electronics, and any signs that the truck has been worked hard or modified. If you’re shopping a higher-trim example, make sure the premium features actually function as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, Limited and TRX. Lower trims use a small 5-inch infotainment screen, while mid trims get an 8.4-inch touchscreen; upper trims can bring a 12-inch portrait-oriented screen and a more upscale cabin with leather, open-pore wood, and metallic trim. The Limited sits near the top of the range and is the best-value choice if you want the premium feel without going all the way to the most extreme models.
• Powertrain: You can get rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, with a 3.6-liter V6 with eTorque standard on lower trims, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with eTorque optional on lower trims and standard on upper trims, and a 3.0-liter diesel available on most trims. The V8 brings strong off-the-line power, while the eTorque system adds extra torque and smoother stop/start behavior.
• Safety package: Advanced driver aids are not standard, and even automatic emergency braking is not included across the board. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning are optional or bundled, so you should check carefully for the exact equipment on any truck you’re considering.
• Infotainment: Upper trims can get an available 12-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen, and the system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The truck can also be equipped with a head-up display, digital rearview mirror, surround-view camera system, wireless charging, and multiple USB-A and USB-C outlets.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives V8 4WD eTorque models 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. The 3.0-liter turbo diesel returns 21 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Which 2023 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2023 RAM 1500 is offered in 8 trim levels: Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, Limited and TRX.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the least expensive path into the lineup, but it is also the most basic. It makes sense if you want the RAM 1500’s core capability and are willing to give up the upscale cabin and richer tech found higher up.
• Tradesman HFE: This trim is aimed at efficiency-minded buyers who want a lower-cost truck with a stronger focus on fuel economy than the standard work-truck setup.
• Big Horn/Lone Star: This is the first trim where the truck starts to feel more everyday-friendly, making it a sensible step up if you want a better balance of value and comfort.
• Laramie: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it brings a more premium feel without pushing into the highest-priced territory.
• Rebel: Choose this if you want a more rugged personality and the off-road-oriented character described in the review.
• Limited Longhorn: This trim leans into upscale materials and a more distinctive luxury-truck vibe, making it a strong pick if cabin presentation matters to you.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for shoppers who want the most polished version of the truck without jumping to the extreme performance model. It adds the richest interior treatment and the most desirable tech features described in the review.
• TRX: This is the high-performance outlier, with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 and the most extreme capability in the lineup.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so verify the exact driver-assistance equipment on any trim before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 15,166 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,519, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $35,519 sits slightly below last year's $37,256.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If you buy at the right number and keep the truck in strong condition, you should be better positioned when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 RAM 1500 safe?

The Ram 1500 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, and the IIHS gives it Good marks across the board except for Marginal grades for seat belt reminders and LATCH ease of use.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The truck’s safety story is mixed in a way that matters for used buyers: the crash-test results are strong, but advanced driver-assistance features are not standard. Automatic emergency braking is not included across the board, and blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning are optional or bundled.

That means you should pay close attention to the exact safety equipment on any used example, especially if you want a truck that feels more modern in daily driving.

Should I buy a 2023 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year adds a new available reconfigurable 12-inch gauge cluster.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,352, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $35,519 average.
• It blends design, comfort, utility, technology, and driving character in a polished way.

The bottom line: If you want the better current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the stronger default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Ram’s core strengths.
