The twin-turbo V6 and PDK transmission are described as a fantastic powertrain, and the car is portrayed as easy to drive smoothly in daily use. The review also notes that the Panamera is very easy to bring to a clean stop in traffic, which supports confidence in routine ownership.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is that this is still a high-end Porsche, so you should expect ownership costs and maintenance exposure to be higher than average.

Which 2023 Porsche Panamera trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche Panamera is offered in 3 trim levels: Panamera, Panamera Executive, and Panamera Sport Turismo.

Here's the short version:

• Panamera: This is the trim to start with if you want the core Panamera experience with the base twin-turbo V6, rear-wheel drive, and the car’s signature blend of luxury and driving enjoyment. It’s the best-value path if you care most about getting into the model without paying for extras you may not need.
• Panamera Executive: Choose this if you want the extended-wheelbase body style and the added rear-seat room that comes with it. It makes the most sense if passenger comfort matters more than keeping the car compact.
• Panamera Sport Turismo: Pick this if you want the wagon-style body and the extra utility that comes with it. It’s the most practical choice in the lineup for cargo-focused buyers.

The Platinum Edition test car adds a Premium Package with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, four-zone climate control, Bose audio, adaptive LED headlights, and blind-spot monitoring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche Panamera?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 353 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $81,631, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $81,631 sits slightly below last year's $90,248.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also mean future resale gains are harder to count on. If you’re planning to sell later, the current softness means your best protection is buying well and keeping the car in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Porsche Panamera safe?

The 2023 Porsche Panamera earns 5/5 ratings in all NHTSA tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Porsche equips the Panamera Platinum Edition with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, and parking sensors. An available Assistance Package adds a head-up display, surround-view camera, and Porsche InnoDrive with Traffic Jam Assist, which pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist for highway and traffic use.

One caveat is that the lane-departure warning system can struggle to tell pavement seams from lane markings, and the lane-keeping assist can intervene abruptly when it decides you’re not paying close attention.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year’s key update is that adaptive cruise control is standard instead of optional.

The bottom line: The 2023 makes sense if you want the Panamera’s blend of performance, practicality, and standard adaptive cruise control without stepping up to a newer, more expensive model year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softened market and decent deal availability make this a good year to target first.
