Is the 2023 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year.

The 2023 Cayenne is positioned as a luxury SUV that still leans hard into Porsche’s performance-first identity. It is described as refined, sturdy, and genuinely quick, with appeal strongest for you if you value the badge, the driving experience, and the polished feel more than outright value. It also offers a broad set of available and standard driver aids, which adds to its everyday usability.

With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent share of attractive pricing to consider.

Is the 2023 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Cayenne is described as refined, sturdy, and well built, which supports confidence in how it may hold up over time. It also carries over without significant changes for the year, which can be reassuring if you prefer a proven setup over a fresh redesign.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance is pricey, so your total cost of ownership can rise faster than the purchase price suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche Cayenne?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any candidate you’re serious about, even with a strong clean-inventory share. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, maintenance gaps, and any signs of expensive upkeep. Focus especially on overall condition, because this model’s ownership costs can be higher than you might expect from the sticker price alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche Cayenne?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,080 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $63,732, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $63,732 sits slightly below last year's $70,996.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices keep easing. For a future seller, the current trend points to a vehicle that still has demand, but not the kind of rapid appreciation that would offset ownership costs. Strong condition and a clean history will matter more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a strong choice if you want the Cayenne’s established formula and you value a softer used-market price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 gives you a solid mix of satisfaction, clean inventory, and improving value.
