It carries over into 2023 largely unchanged. ## Design The 2023 Sentra features Nissan’s contemporary design language, scaled down to the compact sedan format. Power is routed to the front wheels through Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT), which features a manual mode with simulated tap-shift “gears.” In the S and SV trims, this powertrain returns fuel economy of 29 mpg city, 39 highway, and 33 combined. All other trims come with an 8-inch touchscreen and an additional USB port. The SR Premium Package adds an 8-speaker Bose premium stereo system. ## Safety Nissan provides a handful of standard driver-assistance features on the Sentra. These include forward (and reverse) automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, driver drowsiness monitoring, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
