Used 2023 Nissan Ariya for Sale nearWashington, DC

How much does the 2023 Nissan Ariya cost?

Prices have softened 12.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,501 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2023 Nissan Ariya a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Ariya earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its impressive features, smooth handling, advanced safety systems, comfort, and technology. The stylish design also comes through as a recurring strength, and many drivers appreciate how polished and satisfying it feels in everyday use.

The main trade-offs are that the drive modes can feel underwhelming and the price can seem a bit high. The Ariya is positioned as a comfort-focused electric SUV with front- and all-wheel-drive options, so it makes the most sense if you want a refined EV rather than a hard-edged performance model.

With 41.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Nissan Ariya reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, trouble-free, and satisfying over time, with owners especially appreciating the comfort, technology, and advanced safety systems. The expert evaluation also emphasizes Nissan’s long experience building and servicing EV powertrains, which supports confidence in the Ariya’s day-to-day dependability.

Nissan also includes EV Carefree+ with each purchase, which adds 3 years or 36,000 miles of scheduled maintenance and an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the battery and charging history are healthy, especially if the car has seen frequent fast charging or cold-weather use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Ariya?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging behavior matter. Focus on cabin condition, software behavior, charging performance, and whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Engage FWD is the entry point, and it skips the head-up display that appears on higher trims. The Empower+ and Platinum+ add ProPilot Assist 2.0, which is the most advanced safety and driver-assistance setup in the lineup.
• Powertrain: The Ariya is offered with front-wheel drive and e-4ORCE all-wheel drive. The standard-range setup uses a 63-kWh battery and a 160-kW single motor with 214 horsepower, while AWD versions add a second motor. Extended-range trims use an 87-kWh battery, and the dual-motor AWD setup raises output to 389 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist is the flagship driver-assistance suite, and ProPilot Assist 2.0 on the Empower+ and Platinum+ adds hands-free but eyes-on driving capability plus lane-change assist. All trims include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a driver-attention monitor, and traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: The Ariya uses dual 12-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and Alexa compatibility. The head-up display is standard on all but the Engage trim.
• Range & charging: Nissan says the extended-range battery can charge from 20% to 80% in 40 minutes on a 130-kW DC fast charger, while the smaller battery should take 35 minutes. The expert evaluation also cites an EPA estimate of 304 miles for the front-wheel-drive setup and roughly 260 miles for the AWD version.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged, and confirm whether it spent most of its life on home charging or frequent DC fast charging. You should also verify how much of the battery warranty remains and look for any signs of reduced range in cold weather.

Which 2023 Nissan Ariya trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Ariya is offered in 7 trim levels: Engage, Engage+, Venture+, Evolve+, Empower+, Premiere, and Platinum+.

Here's the short version:

• Engage: This is the least expensive way into the Ariya, but it is also the most stripped-down version. It uses the standard-range battery and single-motor front-wheel-drive setup, so it makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without some of the nicer convenience features found higher up.
• Engage+: This trim adds the extended-range battery while staying relatively accessible in the lineup. If you want more range without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the best-value starting point.
• Venture+: This version pairs the extended-range battery with a more powerful motor, making it a smart pick if you want a stronger balance of range and performance.
• Evolve+: This trim is available with front-wheel drive or AWD, so it gives you more flexibility if you want to tailor the Ariya to your driving conditions.
• Empower+: This is where ProPilot Assist 2.0 arrives, so it is the trim to target if advanced driver assistance matters most to you.
• Premiere: This limited-edition trim keeps the extended-range battery and adds a more upscale feel, making it a good fit if you want a richer feature set without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum+: This is the top trim and the one to choose if you want the most power, the most advanced safety tech, and the most premium overall experience.

The safety-package standout is ProPilot Assist 2.0, which is standard on the Empower+ and Platinum+ trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Ariya?

The market is leaning in your favor right now, especially if you want a well-priced EV with plenty of inventory to compare.

• Deal availability: 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,501 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,326, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Ariya's resale value?

The current average of $22,673 sits slightly below last year's $26,019.

That decline suggests the Ariya has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you’re planning to resell later, the current market shows that value has already adjusted downward, so buying well matters. A trim with stronger equipment and broader appeal should be easier to move when it’s your turn to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Ariya safe?

The 2023 Nissan Ariya has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

ProPilot Assist is Nissan’s flagship advanced driver-assistance suite, and ProPilot Assist 2.0 on the Empower+ and Platinum+ trims adds hands-free but eyes-on driving capability, lane-change assist, HD map data, and a driver-monitoring camera. All trims also include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a driver-attention monitor, and traffic-sign recognition.

The main safety caveat is that the most advanced hands-free system is reserved for the higher trims, so you’ll want to confirm exactly which driver-assistance features are included on the specific Ariya you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Ariya or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year brings the Ariya’s stylish design, strong advanced safety features, and available ProPilot Assist 2.0 on higher trims.

The bottom line: The 2023 Ariya is the right pick if you want a well-rounded used EV with strong owner satisfaction, a broad trim range, and a market that currently favors shoppers. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, you may want to compare nearby model years and shop for the best-equipped example within your budget.
