Using fast charging, the EQS can recover 70 percent of battery power in a little over half an hour. Charging from 10 to 100 percent takes more than 11 hours using Level 2 home charging speeds. The EQS hasn’t received full crash-test results from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but the extensive standard driver aids should help its chances. Features like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control are typically held back in added-cost options packages, so the EQS brings decent value, at least when it comes to safety tech. The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS competes against the Audi e-tron, Porsche Taycan, and Tesla Model S. Pricing starts at $105,450 for the base EQS 450+ and ranges to $127,000.
