How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-9 cost?

Prices have softened 6.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 423 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-9 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2023 Mazda CX-9 stands out for putting driving feel ahead of sheer size, with sportier tuning, a more engaging character than many rivals, and a cabin that aims for a premium feel rather than a purely utilitarian one. If you want style, a polished interior, and a crossover that feels more athletic on the road, it fits that use case well, though it is less focused on maximum interior and cargo space and its infotainment setup can be fiddly. 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2023 Mazda CX-9’s appeal centers on refinement, a premium-feeling cabin, and a sporty personality that fits Mazda’s broader approach. It also offers all-wheel drive, which adds to its practical appeal for many used buyers. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright capability and more about whether its roominess and technology layout match your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mazda CX-9?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report on any listing, even if it looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin controls and infotainment setup, since the knob-and-button interface can be fiddly. Also focus on overall condition and how well the vehicle’s premium-oriented interior has held up, especially if you plan to keep it for several years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mazda CX-9?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still room to find a strong deal.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 423 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,070, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $26,070 sits slightly below last year's $27,838.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your future resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A clean history and strong presentation matter more when the market is already showing some price pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,575, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,070 average.
• It offers a near-luxury feel with stylish design, premium materials, and a smooth, comfortable ride.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a strong mix of style, refinement, and driving enjoyment, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers much of the CX-9’s upscale character.
