Used 2023 Lexus RX for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2023 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 6.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,899 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The RX is aimed at you if you want a luxury crossover SUV that emphasizes comfort, premium materials, and a polished tech experience. The redesign keeps the RX’s familiar appeal while adding enough modern touches to feel current, and the cabin remains a major strength.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the standard suspension can feel unsettled on rough pavement, cargo space is limited, and the head-up display integration is not especially strong. Even so, the RX’s balance of refinement and everyday usability is a big part of its appeal.

Good and great deals account for 38.2% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The RX’s appeal is built around a reputation for being reliable, refined, safe, and stylish, and the redesign keeps that formula intact. It also benefits from a strong comfort focus and a premium-feeling cabin, which are the kinds of traits that usually support confident ownership over time.

The turbocharged engine is described as a good choice, and it performs better at higher altitude while returning slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6. Lexus also includes a broad set of advanced driver-assistance features, which adds to the sense that the RX is engineered for low-stress daily use.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a luxury SUV with lots of technology can be more expensive to keep feeling fresh if prior maintenance or software updates were neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus RX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, interior electronics, and display systems, since the RX’s comfort and technology are central to the ownership experience. It also makes sense to pay close attention to how the vehicle rides on imperfect pavement and whether the cabin features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 350 is offered in Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, and F Sport Handling trim levels. The Standard trim gives you the core RX experience, but the higher trims add more upscale equipment and the F Sport Handling version brings a more controlled feel with adaptive damping suspension.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is described as a good choice, with better high-altitude performance and slightly better fuel economy than the outgoing V6.
• Safety package: Every 2023 RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, curve speed reduction with adaptive cruise control, Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist. Some HUD-equipped models make the adaptive cruise controls and front cross-traffic warnings harder to interpret if you wear polarized sunglasses.
• Infotainment: The RX uses Lexus Interface with a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, satellite radio, connected services, user profiles, and available digital rearview mirror and digital key smartphone technology. A color head-up display is also available.
• Fuel efficiency: Lexus expected the RX 350 FWD to average 25 mpg in combined driving and the RX 350 AWD to return 24 mpg. In testing, results were 22.5 mpg and 21.8 mpg, respectively.

Which 2023 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus RX is offered in 5 trim levels: Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, and F Sport Handling.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point if you want the RX’s core comfort, premium feel, and standard safety tech without paying for extras. It makes sense if you care most about getting into the model at the lowest cost.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it should add meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades while staying below the more expensive luxury-focused versions.
• Premium+: Choose this if you want a more upscale equipment mix and are willing to pay more for added refinement.
• Luxury: This trim is for you if you want the richest cabin experience and the most premium presentation in the lineup.
• F Sport Handling: Pick this if you want the most controlled driving feel. It includes AWD and adaptive damping suspension, and it suits buyers who want the RX to feel more secure and composed on the road.

Every 2023 RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, so safety coverage is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus RX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to find value if you move decisively.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,899 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,501, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $45,501 sits slightly below last year's $48,617.

That softer pricing can help you if you buy now, because you may be entering the market after some of the initial depreciation has already happened. For a future seller, the current trend suggests the RX is still holding a meaningful share of its value, but not at the same level it did a year ago.

The RX’s strong reputation for comfort, refinement, and reliability should continue to support demand among used buyers. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, that should help preserve resale appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus RX safe?

The 2023 Lexus RX earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 RX gets Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes motorcycle detection, evasive steering assistance, intersection turn assistance with front cross-traffic alert, curve speed reduction with adaptive cruise control, Proactive Driving Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Advanced Park Assist. That gives you a broad standard safety suite across the lineup.

One caveat is that some HUD-equipped models make the adaptive cruise controls and front cross-traffic warnings harder to interpret if you wear polarized sunglasses. The curve-speed reduction feature is also not especially polished in practice.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign adds modern tech and polish while keeping the RX’s comfort-first luxury formula intact.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,644, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $45,501 average.
• It is a carryover model with minimal changes and a comfort-focused, reliable character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,946, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $45,501 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, luxury, and fuel efficiency even more strongly.

The bottom line: If you want the newest RX with updated tech and a still-reasonable market price, the 2023 is the best primary choice. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the smarter value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer model year.
