You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with similar prices. That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible in the used market, which can help you buy at a lower entry point today. If you buy carefully and maintain it well, you can still protect value better than the average listing.

Should I buy a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Velar or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.01% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It emphasizes style, a refined cabin, and a comfortable ride.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,311, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,607 average.
• It adds design, comfort, and infotainment improvements.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around starting point if you want the strongest mix of price, deal availability, and clean inventory. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want newer updates and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the upgrade path to consider.
