How much does the 2023 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 6.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,391 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Sorento options to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Sorento a good car?

With a user rating of 3.7/5, the 2023 Kia Sorento looks like a practical midsize SUV if you want family-friendly space, a three-row layout, and a cabin that feels more upscale than its price might suggest. The Sorento’s broad lineup also gives you flexibility, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid choices plus X-Line versions with added off-road capability. For shoppers who value versatility and a polished interior, that combination is a strong fit. There are 37.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2023 Kia Sorento comes with a strong safety and convenience foundation, including collision warning, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist. For 2023, the base LX model also gained a blind-spot monitor and rear automatic braking, which adds to its everyday confidence. The Sorento’s reliability story is best understood as one of broad capability and useful standard safety equipment rather than standout simplicity. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is mainly about choosing a well-maintained example with the right trim and feature set for your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and confirm there are no prior collisions, title issues, or inconsistent service records. Put the inspection focus on the cabin, electronics, and any features that matter most to you, since the Sorento’s appeal often depends on equipment and trim. If you’re considering a higher-trim example, make sure the added convenience and safety features work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,391 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,548, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $26,548 sits slightly below last year's $28,396.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the used market. If you plan to sell later, you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim because the model’s broad feature spread creates wider pricing differences. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than basic or heavily worn ones.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,924, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,548 average.
• It adds efficiency-focused hybrid and plug-in hybrid updates.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $28,831, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,548 average.
• It brings fresher styling and easier-to-use tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a balanced mix of price, inventory, and feature content. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the smarter value play, especially if you want to spend less up front.
