Used 2023 Kia Seltos for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2023 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 7.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,378 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Kia Seltos earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a practical subcompact crossover with a larger footprint than many rivals. The overview points to a rugged design, a surprisingly premium interior for the price, and useful packaging that gives you generous passenger and cargo space for the segment. It also highlights refined driving dynamics and a cabin layout that feels thoughtfully arranged for everyday use.

For shoppers who want a small SUV that balances style, space, and value, that combination makes the Seltos easy to recommend. The market also shows 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which adds to the model’s overall shopping appeal.

Is the 2023 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Seltos is built around everyday usability, with a smooth base engine and a practical, comfortable layout that should suit routine ownership well. It also notes some tradeoffs, including a noisy cabin and a clunky dual-clutch transmission in some versions, so condition and maintenance history matter.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example with drivetrain or cabin-noise issues that could make ownership less satisfying over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the drivetrain, cabin condition, and any signs of prior bodywork. Because the model can have a noisy cabin and some versions use a transmission that may feel clunky, a thorough test drive matters as much as the paperwork.

If possible, compare multiple listings side by side so you can judge whether wear, equipment, and maintenance records match the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Seltos?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,378 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,350, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $19,350 sits slightly below last year's $21,017.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term appreciation if you plan to sell soon. For future resale, the Seltos' practical packaging and broad appeal should help it stay relevant with used shoppers who want space and value in a small SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $17,575, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $19,350 average.
• It adds a Nightfall Edition and broader tech availability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,514, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $19,350 average.
• It adds refreshed styling and updated technology.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of price, inventory, and buyer appeal. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the value play; if you want newer tech and refreshed styling, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
