Used 2024 Kia Seltos for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2024 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 3.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,516 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia Seltos earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, handling, spaciousness, and safety options, and they also like the stylish design. In practical terms, that lines up with the Seltos’s roomy cabin, approachable technology, and useful standard equipment.

The main trade-offs are the base engine’s underpowered feel and the optional turbo engine’s low-speed lag. Even so, the refreshed model’s updated styling and tech make it a strong fit if you want a small SUV that feels easy to live with and well equipped.

Good and great deals account for 34.9% of listings, so there’s still room to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centered on comfort, features, and the kind of ownership experience people can count on. That’s reinforced by the Seltos’s practical packaging and straightforward technology, which tend to make daily use less stressful.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Seltos’s well-rounded nature and its useful, easy-to-live-with character. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well, especially if you’re considering one with the base engine or the turbo powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, electronics, and the condition of the cabin and tires. Since this model’s appeal is tied to its standard equipment and easy-to-use tech, make sure everything works as expected on the exact vehicle you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX starts with 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, two USB ports, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The S adds fog lights, LED daytime running lights, silver roof rails, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a larger digital instrument panel, LED cabin lighting, combination cloth-and-synthetic leather upholstery, single-zone automatic climate control, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The EX adds synthetic leather upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a wireless charging pad. The X-Line adds 18-inch gloss-black wheels, tinted windows, a dark gunmetal grille, and black roof rails, but it loses the wireless charging pad and power-adjustable driver’s seat. The SX adds LED bi-function headlights, LED fog lights, an electrochromatic rearview mirror, a rear cargo cover, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, and a Bose premium stereo system.
• Powertrain: The base 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 146 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque and uses an IVT. The LX comes standard with AWD, while the S and EX can be had with FWD or AWD. The X-Line and SX use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 195 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. The turbo setup delivers stronger acceleration, but it does have some low-speed lag.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward collision avoidance with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-follow assist, automatic high beams, and driver attention warning. The S adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Warning. The SX adds smart cruise control with stop-and-go capability, curve prediction through navigation, traffic sign recognition, highway driving assist, junction-turning support for forward collision warning, and drive-away warning. The base trim misses some of the extra driver-assistance features found higher up the range.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen and a 4.2-inch digital instrument screen, while every trim except the LX upgrades to a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system keeps physical volume and tuning dials plus hard climate buttons. Digital Key 2 Touch is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base 2.0-liter engine with FWD returns 28 mpg city, 34 highway, and 31 combined. With AWD, it returns 27 mpg city, 31 highway, and 29 combined. The turbocharged 1.6-liter with AWD returns 25 mpg city, 27 highway, and 26 combined.

Which 2024 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, X-Line, and SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused starting point if you want standard AWD, the core safety tech, and the basic infotainment setup without stretching the budget. It makes the most sense if you care more about getting the Seltos’s practical packaging and standard all-wheel drive than about extra comfort or tech upgrades.
• S: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger digital display, a bigger touchscreen, more exterior lighting, and useful safety upgrades like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to focus on.
• EX: Choose this if you want more comfort and convenience, including synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, and wireless charging. It’s the trim that starts to feel more upscale without jumping all the way to the turbo models.
• X-Line: Pick this if you want the turbo engine and standard AWD, plus the more rugged-looking styling treatment. Just keep in mind that it gives up the wireless charging pad and power-adjustable driver’s seat.
• SX: This is the top choice if you want the most equipment, including the upgraded Bose stereo, LED lighting upgrades, and the most advanced driver-assistance features. It’s the right pick if you want the fullest feature set and are willing to pay for it.

The S trim is the best-value choice for most used buyers, while the SX makes sense if you want the most advanced safety and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,516 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,397, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $22,906 sits slightly below last year's $23,615.

That downward move suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a bigger hit later. The good news is that the Seltos’s broad appeal, standard features, and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2024 Kia Seltos earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance includes forward collision avoidance with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-follow assist, automatic high beams, and driver attention warning. Moving up to the S adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Warning. The SX adds smart cruise control with stop-and-go capability, curve prediction through navigation, traffic sign recognition, highway driving assist, junction-turning support for forward collision warning, and drive-away warning.

That means the base trim gives you a solid safety foundation, but the more advanced convenience and driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims. If safety tech is a priority, the S and SX are the trims to focus on.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed model brings updated styling and technology while keeping the Seltos’s roomy cabin and easy-to-use layout.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed Seltos with updated tech, standard safety equipment, and a strong mix of practicality and value, the 2024 is the right target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop aggressively and look for a well-kept example near the low end of the market range, but the 2024’s combination of inventory, deal availability, and owner satisfaction makes it the better all-around used-buying choice.
