The 2023 Infiniti QX50 is a premium compact luxury SUV that offers a solid amount of cabin space for the class. The QX50 seats five passengers and offers up to 65.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. With the rear seats in use, it still provides a useful 31.4 cubic feet of cargo space.

For 2023, the QX50 gains a new Sport trim, featuring unique front-end design elements, upgraded 20-inch wheels, a 12-speaker Bose premium stereo system, dark interior accents, and semi-aniline leather upholstery.

This new Sport trim joins the existing trim lineup that includes Pure, Luxe, Essential, Sensory, and Autograph trims. Infiniti has added some key new features to the Luxe trim, including remote start, wireless device charging, and heated side mirrors.

Standard features on the Pure trim include a power liftgate, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a fully digital instrument panel. The Pure also comes with satellite radio, HD radio, and five USB ports.

Moving up to the Luxe trim replaces the synthetic leather with genuine leather upholstery. It also adds fog lights, a moonroof, heated front seats, and remote start. For 2023, the Luxe also adds a hands-free smart power liftgate.

The Essential trim adds a few of the driver-assistance features that do not come standard, as well as a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, navigation, and an upgraded 16-speaker Bose premium stereo system. Opting for the Sensory trim adds a head-up display, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and heated rear seats.

The range-topping Autograph trim includes most of these features, plus tri-zone climate control, upgraded semi-aniline leather upholstery, synthetic suede upholstery, ambient cabin lighting, and rear-window sunshades.

The QX50 comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It makes 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a continuously variable transmission to the front wheels, or to available all-wheel drive (AWD).

The front-wheel-drive (FWD) version of the 2023 Infiniti QX50 returns fuel economy of 23 mpg city, 29 highway, and 26 combined. The AWD version returns 22 mpg city, 28 highway, and 25 combined. The QX50 uses premium fuel.

The QX50 comes with a long list of standard driver-assistance features, including forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, and rear parking sensors. Also standard is ProPilot Assist, which uses adaptive cruise control and lane-centering to move the QX50 along a highway lane. Optional safety features include a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors, and traffic-sign recognition. The 2023 Infiniti QX50 is backed by a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
