You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the van for signs of heavy family use, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. A careful pre-purchase inspection is especially worthwhile if you want to make sure the comfort and convenience features still work as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,691 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,062, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $33,062 sits slightly below last year's $36,674.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the good news is that the Odyssey still has broad family appeal, so well-kept examples should remain easy to market. Strong condition and a clean history matter even more when the overall market is softer.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,933, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $33,062 average.
• It still emphasizes driving enjoyment and spaciousness.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Odyssey’s core strengths.
