Used 2022 Honda Odyssey for Sale nearEl Paso, TX

How much does the 2022 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 9.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,844 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and driving experience, and many say it works especially well for families and long trips. The expert review also highlights its light, effortless, responsive character and its roomy cabin with plenty of cargo space.

The trade-offs are clear: the Odyssey lacks all-wheel drive, its technology feels outdated, and its brakes need improvement. That makes it best for you if you value comfort, space, and an easygoing driving feel more than the latest features or extra drivetrain capability.

With 37.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily family use, with comfort and versatility that make it easy to count on for long trips and routine hauling. The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the Odyssey as a simple, practical minivan with enduring strengths in usability and driving ease.

Honda also includes a broad standard safety suite, which can support confidence over time when you keep up with maintenance and inspection needs. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic usefulness and more about age-related wear, especially if the vehicle has seen heavy family-duty use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has been used for frequent family hauling or long-distance travel. Focus on condition details that matter in a minivan: seat operation, interior wear, brake feel, and how well the electronics and driver-assistance features work in real use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is the most stripped-down version, while EX-L adds leather upholstery and Touring and Elite bring more convenience and tech. Lower trims can leave out features some shoppers expect, so you should compare equipment carefully before deciding.
• Powertrain: Every Odyssey uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. It returns an EPA estimate of 22 mpg in combined driving.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require EX or a higher trim.
• Infotainment: Starting with EX, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Touring is required for navigation and HondaLink connected services, including WiFi hotspot access.
• Fuel efficiency: The Odyssey is rated at 22 mpg combined, and the expert review recorded 22.6 mpg in mixed driving.

Which 2022 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Odyssey is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, Elite.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic choice and leaves out some convenience and safety-adjacent features that many families will want. It makes sense only if your priority is getting into the Odyssey at the lowest possible price.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the sweet spot between price and everyday usefulness, this is the one to target.
• EX-L: This trim adds leather upholstery and a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the higher-priced Touring and Elite models. It suits you if cabin comfort matters more than extra entertainment or connectivity features.
• Touring: This is the trim to choose if you want navigation, HondaLink connected services, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and the rear-seat entertainment system. It is the better pick for families who spend a lot of time on the road.
• Elite: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the premium audio system, wireless charging pad, and the most upscale presentation in the lineup. It makes sense if you want the most features and are willing to pay for them.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the LX, so safety-conscious shoppers should look at EX or above.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,844 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,629, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $28,629 sits slightly below last year's $31,681.

That price movement suggests the Odyssey has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price now and keep the van in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who paid closer to last year’s average.

The model’s broad family appeal and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to sell. Well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment are likely to hold buyer interest better than higher-mileage or heavily worn vans.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2022 Odyssey earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, and a rear-seat reminder system. If you want blind-spot monitoring or rear cross-traffic alert, you need the EX or a higher trim.

The main caveat is that Honda Sensing can feel less polished than rival systems, with warnings or interventions that may come too sharply or too late. That means the Odyssey is well equipped for safety, but you should still test the driver-assistance behavior yourself before buying.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Odyssey’s enjoyable driving character while offering strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,128, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,629 average.
• It was presented as a freshened model with improved safety, upgraded technology, enhanced utility, and spruced-up styling.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market value and are comfortable with the 2022’s older tech and lack of AWD, this year makes sense. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better budget path, especially if you find a clean example with the equipment you want.
