How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.82% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,604 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Accords to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

The 2023 Honda Accord is a strong choice if you want a traditional family sedan that balances driving enjoyment with everyday practicality, though its value proposition is more mixed than its core strengths. It earns 3.5/5 from users and 6.7/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal starts with a fun-to-drive character, a spacious interior, and strong safety credentials. It is also described as a refined, engaging sedan for buyers who want a conventional four-door family car rather than something more adventurous. The main trade-offs are that it does not offer all-wheel drive and it carries several minor comfort issues, while the overall pricing is comparatively high for the class.

With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you can still find some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Honda Accord is presented as a robust, well-sorted sedan with a suspension that filters out harshness well and a powertrain that is described as perfectly adequate for daily use. The test-drive data also says the car feels capable and enjoyable on winding roads, which supports the sense that it is built to handle regular ownership without drama.

Honda’s 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is described as refined with updates over the previous generation, and the chassis tuning is praised for its composure and road feel. The performance notes also point to a solid structure and good visibility, both of which help the car feel easy to live with.

Honda also includes two years or 24,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance on new models, which is a useful ownership perk if you are comparing long-term costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Accord’s higher asking price can make repairs or depreciation sting more if you overpay up front.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title alone does not tell you how well a car was maintained or repaired. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, tires, brakes, and cabin controls, since the test-drive data notes minor comfort issues and some tire-related limitations. It is also smart to confirm that the car’s condition matches its asking price, especially because this model is positioned as a comparatively expensive used sedan.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX and step-up EX are the gas-only versions, while the Sport trim and above use hybrid power. The LX is the simplest version, while the EX adds a more upscale cabin presentation, an eight-speaker audio system, and an available safety package that fills in some feature gaps.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 192 horsepower and a CVT. It is described as adequate rather than thrilling, and the car is front-wheel drive only.
• Safety package: Every Accord gets Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on EX through an option package.
• Infotainment: The Accord comes with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, an SOS emergency call button, and two USB-C ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The Accord LX and EX are rated at 32 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point if you want the Accord’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, Honda Sensing, the digital gauge cluster, and the 7-inch touchscreen, so it covers the essentials well.
• EX: This is the better-value choice if you want a more complete daily driver. It adds an eight-speaker audio system, a more upscale cabin presentation, and access to the affordable safety package with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, making it the trim most shoppers should focus on.

Every 2023 Accord includes Honda Sensing, and the EX can be equipped with the additional blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best examples still deserve quick action.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,604 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,570, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $23,903 sits slightly below last year's $24,596.

That price movement suggests the Accord has softened enough to help used buyers today, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy at the right number, you can reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The strongest resale outcomes will likely come from clean, well-equipped examples that are priced near the lower end of the market.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 Accord comes with Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Honda also offers blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on EX through an option package.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.82% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out as a redesigned version of the Accord that is described as a great car made even better, with strong safety ratings and a more modern take on the traditional family sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Accord with strong safety, a roomy cabin, and a more engaging driving feel, the 2023 is the right target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a similar ownership experience with a lower entry cost, so it is worth comparing clean examples closely.
