How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,569 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

With a 3.5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating, the 2023 Honda Accord looks like a capable but selective buy rather than an automatic yes for every shopper. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal is strongest if you want a traditional four-door family sedan that is fun to drive, has a spacious interior, and delivers strong safety credentials. It is also described as a redesigned version of Honda’s long-running family sedan, with a more modern, conservative look and a cabin that emphasizes refinement and attention to detail.

The trade-offs are real: it does not offer all-wheel drive, and the expert review calls out several minor comfort issues. It is also described as comparatively expensive, with questionable value for the money, so you should weigh its strengths against its asking price.

With 36.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop carefully for the right example.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Accord is presented as a robust, well-engineered sedan with a suspension that filters out harshness and a powertrain that is described as perfectly adequate for everyday use. The expert review also notes that the car feels nimble and responsive, with good road feel and strong braking performance.

Honda’s 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is described as a refined version of the engine used in the previous-generation Accord, and the CVT is said to be adequate in normal driving. The review also says the car is easy to drive in urban and suburban environments, with excellent outward visibility and no trouble parking.

Honda also includes two years or 24,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance on new vehicles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that you are still buying a comparatively expensive sedan, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot if you want to protect your ownership costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean history can make a big difference in a car that is priced above some rivals. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on comfort items, tire condition, and how the car drives over rough pavement, since the expert review notes a few minor comfort concerns.

Pay close attention to the trim and option content, because some useful safety equipment was bundled into an affordable package on the EX. If you are comparing listings, make sure the features you want are actually present on the car you are considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX and step-up EX are the gas-only versions, while the Sport trim and above use hybrid power. The LX is the most basic setup, and the EX adds a more polished cabin, an eight-speaker audio system, and an available safety package that fills in some feature gaps.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 192 horsepower and a CVT. It is described as adequate rather than thrilling, and the car is front-wheel drive only.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on EX through an option package.
• Infotainment: The Accord uses a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It includes Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, and an SOS emergency call button.
• Fuel efficiency: The Accord LX and EX are rated at 32 mpg in combined driving, and the EX-L hybrid alternative is rated to return 48 mpg.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the gas-only Accord with the standard turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, Honda Sensing, the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and the 7-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model, but it is the more basic choice.
• EX: This is the better-value pick if you want a more complete everyday setup. It adds an eight-speaker audio system and a more upscale cabin feel, and it can be paired with the safety package that adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. If you are shopping the gas model, this is the trim most buyers should focus on.

Every 2023 Accord includes Honda Sensing, and the EX can be equipped with an affordable safety package that adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,569 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,567, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $23,834 sits slightly below last year's $24,540.

That price movement suggests the Accord has softened enough to help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a better chance of limiting depreciation pain later.

The current market also shows a fairly tight year-round range, which can help support values for clean, well-equipped examples. A car with the right history and desirable features should be easier to move than one with missing equipment or visible wear.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Honda also offers blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on EX through an option package.

The expert review describes the system as accurate, refined, and sophisticated, with lane-centering behavior that is generally more confident than older Hondas. The main caveat is that the lane-centering system can waver a bit near freeway off-ramps, so you should still stay engaged behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.88% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out as a redesigned Accord that is fun to drive, spacious, and strong on safety, while still feeling like a traditional family sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Accord and you value driving enjoyment, space, and safety, the 2023 is the right target year. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare it carefully against nearby model years and shop for the cleanest, best-priced example rather than paying extra for a marginally nicer trim.
