It also suggests the car was engineered with a stiffer, lighter chassis and a lower center of gravity, which supports the impression of a thoughtfully developed luxury sedan. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been cared for properly, since a premium sedan can become expensive if neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report to confirm accident status, title history, and any major insurance claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you can check the condition of the electronics, interior features, and overall wear. Because this model leans heavily on technology and luxury equipment, condition matters as much as mileage when you compare listings.

What is the 2023 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $35,708 sits slightly below last year's $36,290.

That softer pricing trend can work in your favor if you're buying now, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the market continues to value this model year. A lower entry price can help you limit depreciation exposure, especially if you buy near the bottom of the current range. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because shoppers still respond to the G80's value proposition and premium presentation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.60% compared with last year.
