Is the 2023 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a luxury sedan with upscale design, a premium cabin, and a focus on visibility and modern presentation rather than flash. It also highlights strong value, extensive standard driver-assistance equipment, and a starting price that undercut comparable German luxury sedans when new. For you, that means this model year makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped midsize luxury sedan that balances refinement with value. 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview points to a stiffer, lighter chassis, a lower center of gravity, and a cabin built around a premium design approach, all of which support the impression of a thoughtfully engineered luxury sedan. It also emphasizes extensive standard driver-assistance equipment, which adds confidence for everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car’s technology and condition have been well maintained, since those are the areas you’ll want to verify carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should prioritize a clean history report, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. Because the G80’s technology is described as unintuitive, spend extra time testing the infotainment, driver-assistance features, and display systems during your inspection. Focus on overall condition and how well the electronics work, since those details matter most in a used luxury sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Genesis G80?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

If you find a listing below $31,674, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $35,207 sits slightly below last year's $36,006. That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if prices continue to soften. If you plan to sell later, the model’s value story will depend on keeping mileage, condition, and maintenance records in strong shape. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $30,609, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $35,207 average.
• It emphasizes a quiet ride and premium cabin comfort.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the stronger value proposition and current-market pricing context. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
