How much does the 2023 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 11.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,602 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used options to compare.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 2023 GMC Yukon XL earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its spaciousness, features, style, and drivability, and they also value it as a more attainable alternative to pricier luxury SUVs. For you, that makes it especially appealing if you want a full-size SUV with room for passengers and cargo, plus a premium feel without moving all the way upmarket. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its spaciousness, features, style, and drivability. That said, a few drivers have noted concerns about potential electrical issues and rearview mirror functionality, so you should pay close attention to how the vehicle has aged and whether any repairs were documented. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core appeal and more about making sure any prior issues were addressed before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and service records. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the electrical systems and rearview mirror functionality, since those are the kinds of concerns owners have mentioned. Because this is a large, feature-rich SUV, you should also focus on overall condition and how well the cabin and convenience features have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,602 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $54,888, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $54,888 sits slightly below last year's $61,698.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, the current softness means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation than on broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because this model year has strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal among shoppers who want space and a premium-feeling full-size SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a strong choice if you want a spacious, well-liked Yukon XL with a softer used-market price than last year and enough inventory to shop selectively. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
