How much does the 2023 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 5,394 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2023 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a compact SUV that leans toward comfort and everyday usability, with a roomy cabin and a more premium feel than many rivals. It also highlights a quieter interior and a smarter cabin layout, making it a practical fit if you value comfort over flash. With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to good reliability scores and positions the Terrain as a comfortable, well-equipped small SUV for everyday use. That combination suggests you should focus on examples that have been maintained well and show consistent wear patterns. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a vehicle that has been driven hard or neglected, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. Put inspection priority on the engine, transmission behavior, brakes, tires, and any signs of uneven wear or poor maintenance. Because this model is meant to be a comfortable daily driver, condition and upkeep should matter more to you than cosmetic extras.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,394 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,110, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $23,701 sits slightly below last year's $23,932.

That small decline suggests the Terrain has held value fairly steadily rather than dropping sharply. For you as a future seller, that kind of price movement points to a market that is stable but not especially hot. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, you should be in a better position when it comes time to trade or sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,088, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,701 average.
• It adds a rugged AT4 look with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price stability, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you like its more rugged trim story.
