How much does the 2023 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 1.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,142 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2023 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a compact SUV that emphasizes comfort, space, and a more premium feel than many rivals, with a roomy cabin and a generally comfortable driving experience. It also fits well if you want a small SUV that feels a bit more upscale without moving into a larger class. With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a broad set of safety features and Teen Driver technology, which supports the impression of a well-equipped, family-friendly SUV. It also presents the Terrain as a straightforward small SUV with comfort and usability at the center of the ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well, since condition and history matter more than the model’s general appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the exterior, interior, and mechanical condition. Pay close attention to signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or anything that suggests the vehicle has had a harder-than-average life. Since the Terrain’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and condition, a clean, well-kept example is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.43% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,110, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $23,551 sits slightly below last year's $23,891.

That modest decline suggests the Terrain has softened a bit in the used market, which can matter if you plan to sell in the future. A lower current average price can make it easier for buyers to find value now, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If the market stays steady, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $20,989, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,551 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path, especially if you find a clean example with the features you want.
