Is the 2023 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The model is described as fairly reliable, and drivers’ feedback reinforces that impression with praise for a trouble-free ownership experience and confidence in the vehicle over time. That said, used buyers should still focus on maintenance history and condition, since long-term ownership risk is always lower when the previous owner kept up with service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Acadia?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then confirm the vehicle’s condition with a close inspection and a test drive. Pay special attention to signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific listing. If you’re shopping for a used Acadia, the best buys are the ones with clean records, consistent maintenance, and no surprises in the equipment list.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,396 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,639, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $29,372 sits slightly below last year's $30,334.

That softer pricing suggests the model has lost some value recently, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you may need to price competitively to move the vehicle. Still, the Acadia’s broad appeal, practical layout, and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,849, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,372 average.
• It brings a larger redesign with a more substantial presence and a revamped interior.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and plenty of listings to compare. If you’re willing to spend more for the redesigned shape and updated cabin, the 2024 is the better secondary path.
