Ford’s trucks and vans are among the most popular and best-selling vehicles in their classes. The F-150 is the best-selling truck and the Transit is the best-selling van. The Blue Oval is discontinuing the smaller Transit Connect, but the larger Transit continues on into 2023 as a fantastic commercial vehicle. It lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but includes Bluetooth and a few other basic features. Ford offers a significant upgrade in the form of a 12-inch touchscreen that brings advanced smartphone connectivity. More than one version of the display is available, including variants with navigation and some that bring advanced driver aids. Though it’s not as flexible as the Transit Cargo, the Crew van is available with upfits that increase its utility and usefulness for various professions. Ford offers upgraded electrical systems to support power equipment, and there are options for luggage storage, tool storage and security, additional lighting features, remote start, and other functions. Ford is more generous than many with its advanced safety equipment. The Transit comes standard with automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warnings, automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, and post-collision braking. Adaptive cruise control with adjustable speed limiting, enhanced active parking assistance, front and rear split-view cameras, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts are also available.
