Used 2023 Ford Ranger for Sale nearNaples, FL

How much does the 2023 Ford Ranger cost?

Prices have softened 6.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,016 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Ford Ranger a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the Ranger’s appeal centers on practical midsize pickup capability. It offers the highest payload capacity of any midsize pickup truck at the time, plus a very competitive 7,500-pound maximum towing capacity when properly equipped. It also gives you rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, along with a choice of SuperCab or four-door SuperCrew body styles, so you can match the truck to your needs. The dated cabin and infotainment setup are the main tradeoffs, but the Ranger’s work-truck usefulness and solid value versus some rivals help explain its appeal. 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Ford Ranger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Ranger’s straightforward hardware and truck-focused design support its reputation as a practical choice for buyers who want capability without unnecessary complexity. Its appeal also comes from useful everyday strengths, including strong towing and payload numbers and a relatively efficient gas powertrain for a midsize pickup. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck has been maintained well and hasn’t been worked harder than its condition suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Ranger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the specific truck you’re considering has a clean past. Put inspection priority on the truck’s overall condition, especially signs of hard use, since this model is often bought for work and towing. Focus on how the cabin, body, and mechanicals have held up, because those details matter more than mileage alone on a used pickup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Ranger?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,016 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,107, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Ranger's resale value?

The current average of $31,165 sits slightly below last year's $33,416.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key is to preserve condition and documentation so your truck stands out when it’s time to list. A well-kept Ranger should still attract interest because buyers continue to value its capability and practical setup.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Ranger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,661, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,165 average.
• It adds more engines, trims, and a more modern feel.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2023 if you want a capable midsize truck at a lower price and you’re comfortable with its older cabin and tech. If you want more choice, a fresher driving experience, and you can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
