How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E cost?

Prices have softened 3.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,123 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its impressive performance, stylish design, and advanced technology, and they also like the all-wheel-drive capability and quiet, smooth ride. On the downside, the expert review points to a choppy ride and notes that the EV’s range can feel unimpressive, while the overview also frames it as a practical electric crossover that still feels fun and upscale.

With its mix of style, performance, technology, and utility, it fits you well if you want an EV that feels more engaging than purely utilitarian. 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its quiet, smooth ride and the sense that it delivers a trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers. The expert review also describes it as a vehicle that provides style, performance, technology, and utility in equal measure, which supports the idea that it’s built to be a well-rounded long-term companion.

Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system adds to the sense of modern capability, and the review notes that the model remains eligible for a federal tax credit, which can help offset ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery, charging behavior, and software-related features have been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on battery condition, charging habits, software operation, and whether the car’s driver-assistance features work as expected. If you’re shopping a used EV, battery health and charging consistency matter as much as cosmetic condition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT. The GT stands out with a more distinctive look, revised bumpers, unique 20-inch wheels, and a dark front panel, while the Premium trim is the one called out for up to 290 miles of range. The California Route 1 comes only with all-wheel drive and 312 miles of range this year.
• Powertrain: You can find single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive setups, with standard-range and extended-range battery packs. Output spans from 266 to 480 horsepower and 317 to 634 pound-feet of torque, so you should verify the exact configuration before you buy.
• Safety package: Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup, along with the latest version of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving. Ford says the surround-view camera and BlueCruise are options with Select trim and standard on other Mach-E variants, so confirm equipment on the exact car you’re considering.
• Infotainment: The Mach-E uses a 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen with Sync 4A, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, wireless smartphone charging, and a navigation system.
• Range & charging: The review cites up to 312 miles of range, and the GT’s official EPA estimate is 270 miles. The GT Performance Edition drops range to 260 miles. The battery pack size and DC fast-charge time are not specified here, so verify those details on the exact vehicle.
• Battery health: Ask for battery state-of-health information, review charging history, and make sure the car has been used normally with a mix of home charging and occasional DC fast charging. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, California Route 1, GT.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Mach-E experience at the lowest starting point and plan to verify which driver-assistance features are included on the specific car.
• Premium: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it’s the trim specifically tied to the strongest range figure in the review, and it balances equipment with everyday usability.
• California Route 1: Choose this if you want the longest range figure mentioned here and standard all-wheel drive, making it a strong fit if range and traction matter most.
• GT: Pick this if you want the most performance-focused version, with 480 horsepower, 600 lb-ft of torque, and the most aggressive styling.

For safety equipment, Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard, and BlueCruise availability varies by trim, so confirm the exact feature set before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

It looks like a buyer’s market, with solid inventory and a meaningful share of well-priced listings.

• Deal availability: 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,123 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,041, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?

The current average of $29,757 sits slightly below last year's $30,989.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may temper what you can ask later as a seller. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to preserve value. The fact that the model still draws strong owner enthusiasm should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E safe?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns top marks from the IIHS in most assessments, and Ford says it was a Top Safety Pick for the 2022 calendar year.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford’s Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup, and BlueCruise 1.2 adds lane-change capability, predictive speed assist, and lane repositioning to help with highway driving. The review also notes that the surround-view camera and BlueCruise may vary by trim, so you should confirm the exact equipment on the car you’re considering.

A key caveat is that the review says the Mach-E needs a head-up display, and NHTSA crash-test ratings were not finalized at the time of writing.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford adds an enhanced version of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology this year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $31,724, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,757 average.
• Ford adds a new Rally trim and broader upgrades.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because prices have eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model’s added upgrades, the 2024 is the better path; otherwise, the 2023 gives you the stronger price-to-feature balance.
