What is the 2023 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $41,115 sits slightly below last year's $43,469.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices keep easing. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to protect value later. Trucks with broad appeal and strong feature content tend to stay easier to resell than more niche configurations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford F-150 safe?

The 2023 Ford F-150 earns high marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and nothing but five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, coupled with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is the named driver-assistance suite, and it includes automatic high beams, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and automatic reverse braking. The Assist portion adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-centering assist, evasive steering assist, intersection assist for left turns, and speed-sign recognition.

The system is broadly strong, but the lane-centering behavior can be a little aggressive in tighter curves and may require you to override it when it steers more assertively than you want.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.42% compared with last year.

• It adds an updated BlueCruise system and a standard 12-inch touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because prices are softer and inventory is strong. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer updates, the 2024 is the cleaner upgrade path.
