Used 2023 Dodge Durango for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2023 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices are up 7.44% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,991 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Durango earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its styling, powerful performance, and spaciousness. Many also call out the ride comfort and the strong gas mileage from the V6.

On the trade-off side, the interior quality can feel lacking, especially in the back seat, and depreciation is a concern for some owners. The Durango makes the most sense if you want a three-row SUV with a more aggressive personality than the typical family hauler.

With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and comfortable to live with, with many drivers describing the ride as smooth and the V6 as efficient for the class. That said, some owners also mention depreciation after purchase, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to own it for the long haul.

The Durango’s five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty is a helpful ownership cushion, especially if you’re considering one of the higher-output engines.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that condition and maintenance history matter a lot more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a higher-mileage example or one with a performance-oriented powertrain. Pay close attention to interior wear, back-seat condition, and signs that the vehicle has been used hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SXT is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more upscale materials and equipment. The Citadel stands out for its more luxurious cabin treatment, including Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row captain’s chairs.
• Powertrain: The lineup starts with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, then moves to a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, a 6.4-liter Hemi V8, and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 in the Hellcat. The V6 is the efficiency play, while the V8s are for buyers who want stronger acceleration and a more dramatic driving experience.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard on all trim levels. Forward collision warning is standard only on the Citadel and part of an option package on other models, while lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are standard only on the Citadel and not available on the base SXT.
• Infotainment: SXT and GT models get an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and Bluetooth. The Citadel and the two SRT models get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the newer Uconnect 5 system.
• Fuel efficiency: The base Pentastar V6 with rear-wheel drive is rated at 21 mpg combined. Fuel economy drops to 17 mpg combined with the 5.7-liter V8, 15 mpg combined with the 6.4-liter V8, and 13 mpg combined with the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat engine.

Which 2023 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Durango is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, SRT 392.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Durango’s core three-row utility and standard V6 power. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but you’ll give up a lot of the comfort and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday appeal without jumping all the way to the V8-focused models. It also opens the door to appearance packages that can give you a more aggressive look.
• R/T: This is the trim to choose if you want the V8 experience without going all the way to the top performance models. It brings the 5.7-liter Hemi and a stronger personality, and it suits you best if sound and acceleration matter more than fuel economy.
• Citadel: This is the comfort-focused choice, with the most upscale cabin treatment in the lineup. If you want a more premium-feeling Durango and the most complete safety equipment, this is the trim to target.
• SRT 392: This is the performance pick, with the 6.4-liter Hemi and the most serious hardware in the standard lineup. It’s the right choice if you want the Durango’s muscle-car character to be the main event.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard across the lineup, while forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are concentrated on the Citadel.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,991 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.44% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 85.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,837, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $33,182 sits slightly above last year's $30,883.

That upward move suggests the Durango has held buyer interest well enough to support pricing. If you own one, especially a clean example with desirable equipment, you may benefit from that steady demand when it’s time to sell.

The year-round range also shows that pricing can move meaningfully depending on condition, trim, and equipment. A well-kept Durango with strong presentation should be easier to position competitively than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2023 Dodge Durango earns top "Good" marks in the original-format moderate front overlap and side tests, as well as the roof strength test, but it received a "Marginal" score in the driver-side small overlap front test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it a four-star overall safety rating, with five-star ratings in the side crash test, four-star ratings in the frontal crash test, and four-star rollover ratings for RWD versions; AWD models got a three-star rollover rating.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard on all trim levels. Forward collision warning is standard only on the Citadel and part of an option package on other models, while lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are standard only on the Citadel and not available on the base SXT.

The mixed IIHS results and the limited standard driver-assist content are the main safety caveats to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.44% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The return of the Durango SRT Hellcat as a regular production model is the standout year-specific highlight.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of the Durango’s current formula, the 2023 model is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you’ll want to compare equipment carefully and focus on condition, history, and the specific trim you’re getting.
