Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale nearJacksonville, FL

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 12.77% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,221 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Charger earns a 4.5/5 user rating, and our experts give it 7.8/10 overall. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. The Charger’s style and feature set also come through as major draws, even if some shoppers feel it is overpriced compared with alternatives.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology is outdated, fuel economy is poor, and the base engine is underwhelming. That makes the Charger a better fit if you want a large sedan with personality, muscle-car attitude, and a strong emotional appeal rather than a modern efficiency-first commuter.

Good and great deals account for 31.2% of listings, so there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a car that feels powerful, comfortable, and spacious, with many drivers describing it as enjoyable to live with over time.

The expert test-drive data reinforces that dependability with praise for the ZF eight-speed automatic’s smoothness and quick shifts, plus the Charger’s ability to deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway in V6 form. That combination suggests the drivetrain can be a steady, predictable companion if you choose the right configuration.

If you buy used, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about age-related compromises, especially in technology and overall refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-performance trim or a car with visible wear. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the equipment on the specific car matches what you expect from the trim level.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Charger is described as a bit drab on small skinny tires, while V8 models look the part more convincingly. Widebody versions add flared fenders and 305-mm-wide tires, which give the car a much more aggressive stance.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 292 or 300 horsepower depending on trim and is the only engine paired with all-wheel drive. V8 models step up to 370 hp in R/T form, 485 hp in Scat Pack form, and far more in Hellcat variants.
• Safety package: Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scatpack models and unavailable on Hellcats. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional only on GT, R/T, and Scatpack models.
• Infotainment: The Charger uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not get the latest Uconnect system, over-the-air updates, or phone-based starting.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 can deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway, while the V8 lineup is less efficient. The Hellcat models are especially thirsty, with range that can drop sharply under hard use.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scatpack, Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger’s core style and size at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the look and space without paying for V8 power, but it is also the trim most affected by the car’s underwhelming base-engine reputation.
• GT: This is the better-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more appeal than the base trim while staying below the V8 models. It also sits in the group that can get more available safety tech, which makes it a smarter everyday pick if you want a balanced Charger.
• R/T: This is the first trim where the Charger’s personality really comes alive, thanks to the V8 character and stronger performance. Choose it if you want the classic muscle-sedan feel without jumping all the way to the more extreme trims.
• Scatpack: This is the enthusiast sweet spot if you want the strongest blend of performance and road presence. The widebody version adds a more aggressive stance and serious tire width, and the expert data makes clear this is the right-sized engine for the car’s character.
• Hellcat: This is the full-send choice for buyers who want maximum power and are willing to accept the trade-offs that come with it. It is the most extreme version, but it also loses some available safety equipment and is best reserved for shoppers who specifically want the outrageous performance story.

Safety-package note: forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scatpack models and unavailable on Hellcats.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market: there is inventory to choose from, but you still need to shop carefully for the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,221 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 12.77% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 74.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,231, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $34,095 sits slightly above last year's $30,233.

That upward move suggests the Charger is holding buyer interest well, even as it nears the end of its run. For a future seller, that matters because a model with rising prices can be easier to move if you keep it clean and well documented.

The year-round range also shows there is still a meaningful spread between low and high examples, so condition and trim will matter a lot when you go to sell. Stronger versions and better-kept cars should continue to attract attention from shoppers who want a final-year Charger.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Charger earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The Charger’s standard safety equipment is limited to rear parking sensors and a backup camera.

The IIHS results are mixed in context because they are based on a different Chrysler 300 structure, so you should treat them cautiously. The biggest practical takeaway is that the Charger’s safety tech is dated for the class, and some trims leave you with fewer driver-assistance features than you might expect.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 12.77% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 is the Charger’s final-year sendoff, with limited-edition Last Call models adding extra collector appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,903, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,095 average.
• It offers muscular proportions and old-school rear-drive character in a market moving away from cars like it.

The bottom line: Buy the 2023 if you want the final-year Charger experience, especially if you value the model’s sendoff status and strong enthusiast appeal. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value path because it delivers much of the same character for less money.
