Used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Prices have softened 7.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,543 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is built for buyers who need serious towing and payload capability rather than carlike manners. It offers a wide range of configurations, strong towing-focused technology, and everyday utility that fits the needs of heavy-duty truck shoppers.

Chevrolet gives you regular, extended, and crew cab body styles, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and an available dual-rear-wheel setup for added stability. The truck also brings useful equipment such as an advanced trailering app, detailed camera views, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

The tradeoff is that it is still very much a heavy-duty truck, so it is not as polished in every respect as some rivals. 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is presented as a serious heavy-duty workhorse with a straightforward mission: handle demanding jobs while still offering the comfort and utility expected in a modern full-size pickup. Its appeal centers on capability, broad configuration choices, and towing-focused equipment.

Chevrolet pairs that with two V8 engine choices and a feature set aimed at making hard work easier, including trailering tech and multiple camera views. The truck’s heavy-duty design means you should expect ownership to revolve around use, maintenance, and condition rather than light-duty comfort.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is tied more to how hard the truck was worked than to how it was marketed, so a careful inspection matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm whether the truck was used for towing, hauling, or other demanding work. Pay close attention to the condition of the bed, hitch area, tires, brakes, suspension, and any signs of heavy-duty wear that could affect future ownership costs.

A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a truck like this, because condition and prior use matter more than mileage alone. Focus on how well the truck has been maintained and whether its equipment still works as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,543 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $52,162, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $52,162 sits slightly below last year's $56,685.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained.

Because this is a heavy-duty truck, resale strength will likely be strongest for well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clear history. If you buy carefully now, you can reduce the chance of taking a bigger hit later.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.98% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right path if you want a heavy-duty Silverado 3500HD with strong capability, broad configuration choices, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar truck offers a lower entry price, but the 2023 remains a sensible target when you want a well-equipped work-focused pickup.
